Nikita Goel was born in Baltimore, MD, but grew up in Cary, NC. She completed her undergraduate education at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in psychology and biology, and minor in Spanish for medical professions. She then spent some time in Washington, D.C. where she pursued a master’s degree in physiology and biophysics at Georgetown University. Dr. Goel subsequently obtained her medical degree at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, where she was granted the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship in recognition of her work with children in an underserved community. She went on to complete a pediatric residency at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH and became board certified in pediatrics. Afterwards, she returned to the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill to complete her dermatology residency and decided to stay in the Triangle to serve the community she grew up in. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, dancing, hiking, and exploring local cuisine.
