is a double board certified Adult & Family Nurse Practitioner in practice since 2009. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Nursing in 2005 from the University of Maine, an MS in Nursing in 2009 from Northeastern University in Boston, and a PhD in 2019 from the Healthcare Systems Engineering Institute of Northeastern University, researching access barriers to dermatology care. In 2014, she completed a 2-year, post-graduate dermatology fellowship for nurse practitioners at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Massachusetts. She has published several peer-reviewed manuscripts and dermatology textbook chapters, and is an award-winning speaker. Melissa enjoys all aspects of general dermatology, with special interests in skin cancer screening/treatment and dermatologic surgery. She is trained in Botox® for cosmetic purposes. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends & family, boating/water sports, traveling, yoga, and hiking.
